Yes, it was easy to install.
One spring had broke. Quite frankly, I was surprised by the system - I thought it was rudimentary and should have lasted the life of the dishwasher. None the less, I went ahead and replaced both sides as they can wear out unevenly, causing door to be crooked and leak. The best way to install it is to hook both ends and with the door open, stretch the string over the pulley. The hardest part was pulling the machine out.

Replaced door spring
It was easy. The two hardest parts of the install are pulling the dishwasher out a little ways (after unscrewing top) and pushing back in where the mounting screws would line up.

Routine installation
The repair is easy, getting to it is a little complicated. You have to remove several panels to get to the spring and cable for the door.
