Big ticket item
Price is ridiculous for what you pay for parts - for refrigerators that don't last as long as they used to.

Expensive for such a short life
The filter seems to work as far as providing quality water. The life of the filter is way to low, especially for the cost. Water stream weakens quickly.

Parts
I have the 3 year protection plan, but did not get the full 25% off on the parts. I received $7.50 for one part and called customer service. They had no info on the other 2 parts I had ordered, so they are giving me a $25.00 credit, but I was entitled to $3717, so essentially I have been shorted by $12.00. I paid $389 for the agreement, so that isn't fair to me.

Poor Customer Service
I have been receiving the Kenmore Water Filter 9690 for 4 or 5 years, every 3 to 4 months. The last one came with a price increase of 41% over what I was use to paying. There was no warning of this price increase and when I got it I called to make sure it wasn't an error. I was assured the price was right, and I instructed them that I was returning it. They gave me credit back, but then I find a charge on my credit card for $7. Again no explanation but I assume it was shipping charges for the return. Very poor Customer Relations.
