How to start the engine on your Porter Cable chipper/shredder
Check the engine oil for proper level. Add oil if needed. Make sure the fuel tank is full of gas.
Set the throttle to FULL and close the choke. NOTE: A warm engine may not require choking.
Place one foot on the front support leg to hold the unit firmly in place.
Pull the starter rope out to begin turning the engine over. Pull slowly at first and increase speed with each successive pull.
After the engine starts, open the choke and move the engine throttle control to SLOW. Warm up the engine by running it for at least a minute.
Set the throttle to FULL and begin chipping/shredding.
Common replacement parts for Porter Cable chipper/shredders
