Whirlpool  Washer  Error codes for High-Efficiency Front-Load Washers

These error code explanations can help you diagnose a problem with your Whirlpool Duet HE front-load washer. F/H Not filling Make sure that both water supply valves behind the washer are fully open. In winter, check the fill lines for freezing. Check the drain system for a siphon problem. If the water inlet valve assembly is defective, replace it.

F/02 Drains slowly Remove excess suds; the washer can't drain excessively sudsy water. Unplug the washer and check the large item filter in the drain pump for a clog. If the drain pump is defective, replace it.

F/05 Water temperature sensor failure Unplug the washer and check the wiring going to the water temperature sensor. If the wiring is sound, replace the temperature sensor.

F/06 Motor tachometer failure Unplug the washer and check the wiring between the motor control board and the drive motor. Check the wire harness connection between the motor control board and the main control board. If the wiring connections are okay, the the drive motor or the motor control board might have failed.

F/09 Overflow The drain pump runs constantly in an effort to drain the water. Unplug the washer and, if the washer is overfilled, check the water inlet valve assembly for proper shut-off of water flow. If the water inlet valve assembly is defective, replace it. If the washer is empty when this error code appears, replace the water-level pressure switch.

F/10 Motor control board overheated Unplug the washer and check the wiring connections on the motor control board. Check the drive system for problems. If the wiring and the drive system are sound, the motor control board usually needs to be replaced.

F/11 Serial communication error between main electronic ontrol board and motor control board Check the connections on the main control board, motor control board and drive motor. If there are no connection problems, the motor control board and/or the main control board usually need to be replaced.

F/13 Dispenser circuit error The dispenser can't move into position. You usually hear the dispenser system shifting constantly before this code is displayed. Unplug the washer and check the mechanical linkage on the dispenser housing. Repair or replace any damaged parts.

F/14 Main control board EEPROM error The Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory (EEPROM) on the main electronic control board is corrupted. Unplug the washer for 5 minutes, restore power and see if the code clears. If not, the replace the main electronic control board.

F/15 Motor control board error Unplug the washer. Check the wire harness connections on the motor control board. Make sure that the drive motor connections are secure. If there's no wiring connection problem, the motor control board usually needs to be replaced.

Sud Excessive suds Excessive suds is detected during the cycle. The cycle goes into a suds kill routine by filling the tube with water and then tumbling the clothes. If this routine doesn't eliminate the suds, the control displays the Sud code. Use the right amount of high-efficiency (HE) detergent with future loads.

F/dL Door lock error The door can't lock. Check the door lock assembly for damage or a loose wiring connection. If there are no problems, you usually need to replace the door lock assembly.

F/dU Door unlock error The washer won't unlock. Check the door lock assembly for damage or a loose wiring connection. If there are no problems, you usually need to replace the door lock assembly.
