Samsung  Washer  Front Load Wi-Fi Model Error Codes

These error code explanations can help you diagnose a problem with your Samsung front-load washer with Wi-Fi. 1E Water level sensor failure Unplug the washer. Check the wire harness connections between the water level sensor and the display control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the water level sensor.

3E No signal from the drive motor tachometer Unplug the washer. Check the wire harness connections between the drive motor and the main control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the motor tachometer. If the problem continues, replace the drive motor.

4E Water fill problem The washer fills for 40 minutes or the water level doesn't change after 6 minutes. Make sure the water supply faucets behind the washer are fully open. Check the water fill lines for kinks or freezing in the winter. Check the water inlet valves. If the valves don't open when activated, replace the water inlet valve assembly.

4E2 Hot and cold water connections are reversed Connect the hot and cold water fill hoses correctly.
5E Will not drain The washer failed to drain within 15 minutes. Check the washer drain path for a clog or restriction. Clear the large item filter in the drain pump. If the drain pump doesn't drain the water when activated, replace it.

9E1 or 9E2 Power supply voltage is too low Check the power cord for loose connections or damage. Replace the power cord if damaged. Unplug the washer and check the electrical outlet voltage supply with a multimeter. If you measure less than 100 volts, have an electrician repair the outlet. If outlet voltage is okay, replace the main control board.

AE Communication error between the main control board and the display control board Unplug the washer and check the wire harness connections between the main control board and the display control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the main control board, If the problem continues, replace the display control board.

AE4 Communication error between the main control board and the Wi-Fi module Unplug the washer and check the wire harness connections between the Wi-Fi module and the main control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the Wi-Fi module. If the problem continues, replace the main control board.

AE5 Communication error between the main control board and the display module Unplug the washer and check the wire harness connections between the display module and the main control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the display module. If the problem continues, replace the main control board.

AE6 Communication error between the main control board and the motor inverter board Unplug the washer and check the wire harness connections between the motor inverter board and the main control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the motor inverter board. If the problem continues, replace the main control board.

bE2 Stuck button A button on the control panel is stuck. Try to free the stuck button. Press down directly on top of all keys on the control panel. If that doesn't free the stuck key, press down slightly off-center on all keys. If you can't free the button, replace the display control board.

dE or dE1 Door lock failure Unplug the washer and check the wiring harness connections between the door lock assembly and the main control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the door lock assembly. If the problem continues, replace the main control board.

HE or HE1 Heating element failure Unplug the washer and check the wire harness connections between the heating element and the main control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, measure the resistance with a multimeter. You should measure about 16 ohms of resistance through the heating element. Replace the heating element if you measure infinite resistance because that means that the element is broken.

LE Leakage error The control detects a water leak. Unplug the washer and check the tub and all connected components for leaks. Replace any leaking components.

OE Water overflow If the washer is overfilled, unplug it to see if it continues to fill while unplugged. If it does, replace the water inlet valve assembly because the inlet water valves aren't shutting off water flow. If the washer isn’t overfilled, replace the water level sensor because it isn't accurately detecting water level.

tE1 Temperature is too high or low Unplug the washer and check the wire harness connections between the temperature sensor and the display control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the temperature sensor.

UE Unbalanced load An unbalanced load is detected during the final spin. The basket won't spin over 150 rpm when this code is displayed. Cancel the cycle or let it end. Adjust the load and see if the washer spins properly. If not, inspect the suspension system in the cabinet and replace any defective parts.

SUd Excessive suds Excessive suds is detected during the cycle. Use the right amount of high-efficiency (HE) detergent.
