Maytag  Washer  Error Codes for MAH9700 Front-Load Models

dc Unbalanced load Redistribute the load in the washer and run the spin cycle again. If the load still won’t spin, empty the tub and run the spin cycle again. If the washer still won’t spin, check the drive system and suspension components for damage. Replace any defective components.

E2 Stuck key on the control panel Check for a stuck key on the control panel. If the key can’t be freed up, replace the control panel.

FL Door failed to lock Unplug the washer and check the door lock assembly for damage. Check the wire harness connections on the door lock assembly. If the door lock assembly is damaged, replace it.

LE Water level sensor defective Unplug the washer and check the wire harness connections on the water level sensor and the electronic control board. Check the air hose connection on the water level sensor. If the wire and hose connections are okay, replace the water level sensor. If the problem persists, replace the electronic control board.

LO Door failed to unlock Unplug the washer and check the door lock assembly for damage. If the door lock assembly is damaged, replace it. Check the wire harness connections on the door lock assembly.

nd Water isn’t draining before the spin cycle begins Remove any clog from the house drain for the washer. Remove any clogs or kinks from the washer drain hose. Unplug the washer and check the drain pump, and then replace the drain pump if damaged.

nF Washer fills continuously for more than 12 minutes Open the water supply valves for the washer fully. Check the water supply pressure and flow through the fill hoses; if the pressure and flow are adequate but the water trickles in during the fill, replace the water inlet valve assembly. Check the drain hose configuration according to the installation guidelines. An improperly installed drain hose can siphon the fill water.

od Door hasn’t been opened after 2 complete wash cycles If the washer door hasn’t been opened after 2 wash cycles, open and close the door to clear the code. If the door was opened, unplug the washer and check the wire harness connections on the door lock assembly and the electronic control board. If the wiring connections are okay, replace the door lock assembly. If the problem persists, replace the electronic control board.

OE Water overflow If the washer is overfilled, unplug it to see if it continues to fill while unplugged. If it does, replace the water inlet valve assembly because the inlet water valves aren't shutting off water flow. If the washer isn’t overfilled, replace the water level sensor because it isn't accurately detecting water level.
