Ice maker AEQ73110205 includes the ice mold and the control device. The ice maker receives water from the water inlet valve and then holds the water in the ice mold until the water freezes solid. It then automatically ejects the ice and refills to continue the process until the ice storage bin is full.
This ice maker is designed to produce more than 100 cubes in 24 hours.

Finally, a replacement that works!
Works just like the original. And this is a replacement model (different model number but designed to replace several original model numbers). The original model was impossible to find. But with fewer replacements being produced, the life expectancy of an expensive refrigerator/freezer will shrink. DIY, handy with a screwdriver, will be forced into more frequent and more expensive purchases of large home appliances.
