Not too bad

Wasn't too bad but waited a whole day and the condenser wasn't making cold. Next day husband realized one part could go on different way then it finally started working. No instructions at all.

Definitely a pro install only part. You MUST have the correct tools supplies and knowledge of this type of compressor or you WILL have problems.

Installation is not difficult if you have experience brazing and can work in tight locations

It took days to get a generic filter/dryer, Harris Stay Silv 5 brazing rod and service valve by mail. Needed a loaner vacuum pump and A/C gauge set from AutoZone. Also had to buy an R12-R134a adaptor fitting because the AutoZone gauges won't fit the service ports. Definitely need a MAPP torch or oxy/acetylene torch for brazing.

You need to understand to install a compressor you need to braze dissimilar metals. Copper needs to be connected to steel and it is not the ordinary brazing techniques. Otherwise the project is straight forward.
