Evaporator Fan motor replacement
Easy installation. Freezer was already defrosted while waiting for part to ship. Two screws to remove the back plate, disconnect the wiring harness, remove the fan cover. REmove 2 more screws.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
The site was easy to use for myself at age 75.
The part of my refrigerator needed was revealed to be an updated part. That explained the early failure while giving me confidence a repeat failure was likely not to happen. I appreciated the schmatic drawings

Easy Install
With the exception of two screws the whole process was a snap together job. Very easy and works great!

Works, but does not come with ground cable
This part was functional, but did not come with the green ground cable as shown in the picture. We were able to tear apart the ground cable from the old motor to use on this motor, but this would mean you would need to have the right tools to either get the old ground cable out to reuse (shears, punch and hammer) or use a new ground cable (sheet metal screw and crimpers). [Or, maybe the ground isn't necessary, but the old model had one, so it seemed like we should still have one installed]. When I talked to Sears about this, they thought the first order with no ground cable was a mistake, so they sent a second motor, but the second motor also did not have the ground installed (they kindly did this free of charge). Also, the part number in the picture is not accurate and is for an older model of the part. The two were interchangeable, but I was concerned when I first received the part (in the picture, the part number ends with a 1F, while on the part they provided, the part number ends in a 4F. Similarly, the item number of the actual part is 242077702, not 242077701 as shown in the picture). However, overall, the fridge is fixed, and aside from the ground cable, the installation was very easy (we needed one ratchet and the rest was plug-and-play). The original issue was that the freezer worked, but the refrigerator wasn't cooling. The evaporator fan motor in the back of the freezer compartment is evidently a common cause of this issue.

Expensive for a 3 year old fridge
Expensive. My fridge was 3 years old when I bought this. And 60 bucks for one fan is outrageous!
