Our icemaker had required some TLC. Several years back I replaced the inlet & outlet tubing and had ordered the valve but realized I didn't need it and returned it. Over the years, ice production had slowly gotten worse, fewer ice cycles per day and smaller ice cubes produced. (Sometimes we'd have to use old fashioned ice trays to have enough ice.) One day I noticed a puddle and realized there was a leak. The inlet valve was leaking, so I ordered a new valve. The part came with no instructions but I knew what to do from previous tinkering with it. (Water inlet, water outlet, electrical connection; it isn't rocket science.) Now we have plenty of BIG ice cubes from the icemaker.
