I would recommend lifting off the old assembly first and taking lots of pictures and then disconnecting all of the clips and dropping them down in place. This requires someone to help and hold up the assembly but it makes putting it back together pretty easy.
A tip for the clips: use a screwdriver to pry them off away from the hole they are clipped into. That was the trickiest part for us as we are afraid of breaking things.
Overall a pretty easy install and the assembly we received was in perfect condition, no issues there. Everything is back and working again. DON'T USE CAST-IRONS OR PRESSURE COOKERS. That is what broke our original one.
