Mom Fixed It!!!

Super easy to install...Mom did it. Replaced the belt & splutch assy at the same time. Disconnecting & reconnecting the drain is the toughest part. Washer is running like a champ!!!

Easy to install

wellm This is the fourth part I have replaced on my washer as all the troubleshooting info told me to replace the belt, lid lock switch, and control board, The problem was the actuator a $63 part not the other $200 I had spend already. I prepped for the install by unhooking the washer and laying it on it s side and removed the belt cover and old actuator before the new one arrived. When It did arrive it took me 15 minutes to put it in and get the washer hooked back up. A real easy install. prep is the an swer

Two bolts and two screws is all it takes

Took it apart while I waited on the part. If you need to remove the drain hose to tip the machine be sure to have a pan to collect the water still in the tub. It is quite a lot to mop up if it hits the floor when all you want is to replace the shifter. When everything is reconnected, run the calibration routine from the console. It was clear to me that the original installers did not do a calibration, because the machine does stuff it never did before and the results are noticeably better.

Replacing Whirlpool actuator.

The part was easy to install and the machine works great! Im told this is a common issues in most washing machines especially if you do a lot of laundry.
