Well, not being a mechanical engineer but havening 84 years of experience of fixing things I found I could insert this in exactly the right pace as designated in the owners manual without a single problem. I would add a photo of my experience but have already secured the tractor engine cover and will not remove it for you.

Oil filter pointers
My tractor oil filter had not been replaced for 50 hrs +. Be aware a filter wrench or large channelocks may be necessary to loosen filter from engine.
