The dryer was easy to disassemble and diagnose the problem. The belt was broken and the felt trap was wadded up around the front of the drum. I ordered the belt and the felt trap and received it at home in about 3 days. No surprises when I opened it up! Installation was simple. I had noted that the idler pulley was in good shape and didn't appear to be the cause of the belt breaking. Once I figured out how to get both hands under the drum to hold the pulley in place, I was able to thread the belt over the motor pulley and the dryer pulley (thanks to YouTube). The felt trap was easy to fit. Definitely worth doing. Dryer is still working.
