Anode rod 9003944005 attracts and neutralizes corrosive particles found in water to help extend the life of the water heater tank.

Disconnect electrical power to the water heater, turn off the water supply and drain the tank before installing this part. Wear work gloves to protect your hands.

Little shorter than the last one but it’s good

The original was 24” long, this one is 16”. Not a big deal, just thought they would have been the same since it verified by model of my AO Smith water heater
