Perfect fit!

Perfect fit and improved design. Using rollers instead of grease is much smarter.

Easy replacement

I had the left side string break. This kit has newer designs for the string and pulleys. I only slid the washer 1/3 of the way out to replace both sides so I didn’t have to disconnect the water or power. Easy job and now the door works like new.

Great replacement for Original equipment.

Very easy to install. Five minutes each side and done. Hardest part was pulling my dishwasher out of the cabinet far enough to install.

Slightly different than pictured, but improved?

This kit includes two link cables and two roller pairs to replace both sides of the lift-assist on the dishwasher- Basically everything you would need, unless somehow a spring broke. I'm writing that because the picture on the page that I ordered from didn't show that. The version of the cables shown is slightly different than what was received- the larger plastic piece was straight in line with the cord, not angled as in the photo and as on my original part. I think this is probably an improvement, as both of the cords on my dishwasher failed by tearing out the side of the plastic piece, not by breaking the cord. The straight pieces seem to work fine, and hopefully they'll be more resistant to tearing out. I did have to entirely extract the dishwasher from the cabinets to change these parts, because the springs are at the back, which meant disconnecting the water line and drain line and dealing with the mess from doing that- and that is where most of the installation time comes from. Otherwise, putting the parts in is a breeze.

Easy to install. Might take a second person to help with the spring.

Right part, Does the Job!

I bought this part because my dishwasher door was dropping like a rock when opened. By looking in with a flashlight from the side I could see that the string had been severed. “Manufacturing defect?” I wondered. While curious to me, I ordered the part anyway. When it arrived I pulled the dishwasher out to find mouse-droppings all over the insulation. A mouse had been camping out for a while, and had chewed the dishwasher dampener-cord thingie in half! Mystery Solved! Not the manufacturer, but Mickey Mouse!

Installation itself was relatively simple. Attach the cord to the spring, then pull and maintain tension on the spring while snaking it through the tension wheels before hooking it onto the bar/hook thing attached to the door (look at the other side, and make them look the same). I did loop another line around the spring to help hold the tension, so I could get enough slack to work at the other end of the line.
