Easy Installation

Very easy to install. It took no more than 15 minutes to remove wall oven, install new bake element and then put oven back.

You can do it!

Replacement was easy to accomplish after viewing a few videos. Complete removal of double oven not necessary as seen on my pics. Only needed to pull out less than a foot to push out spacer between the ovens.

Bake element

An improvement in design from the original part. The wood frame around the element provides much needed protection for sliding in and out of the oven.

Better design than original element

To replace the lower element I had to slide the oven out of the wall, resting the front edge on a chair, in order to open the compartment that held the old element. The new element had a better design, with the element surrounded by a ceramic insulator. I hope the new element lasts longer than the original, which was only 2 or 3 years. Sears' price was the lowest I could find on the Internet.

Easy for the average DIY'er

After determining that you have to pull the oven partially out of the cabinet to get to some screws it was fairly simple.

Satisfied and happy to have a working oven now!

The part worked and was the fix for my oven that would take forever to preheat. Only issue was the particle-board edging was very fragile and bulky which made it hard to slide the element into place. Not sure if the edging was meant to stay in, or if it was only for shipping protection (there were no instructions to specify that). I removed all edging and then installed the part with no issues.

worked as well as could be expected

After I understood how the element was to be installed it was not so very hard.
