My original clutch cable froze up after 20 plus years and would no longer allow the clutch spring to take the transmission out of gear. The new part was exactly like the original. The hardest part for me was figuring out how to mount the new cable up on the handle as the original was. I had no instructions to do this but eventually figured it out. The new cable works well and has solved my shifting problem. I found it helped to take the belt guard off to remove the old cable and to install the new one. Removing the belt guard also allows you to see and engage the clutch pulley which helps you to lock down the new cable in the right position where it is not too long or too short when engaging the clutch. I changed my belt while I was in there, it was showing a fair amount of wear and was cracking. Also thought the new cable was reasonably priced.
