Not real easy to do unless u have done it before. it has to go together in a certain sequence, takes about an hour and a half.

Most difficult part was removing old parts. The only tutorial I could find dealt with a mower that had different parts on the front wheels than my mower. Several of the old parts did not just slide right off the axle. Once the old parts were removed, installing the new axle and transmission was pretty straight forward.

The transmission rod was about 1/16" short so I could not install the retaining ring. Wheel may fall off.

Transmission fit perfectly. Return spring design was updated from the old transmission which is nice because the new design is much better. Was easy to install. Only took thirty minutes to change the transmission and the mower works like new.
