The first part received was the incorrect part. Upon returning that item, i received the correct part however it was a used part. So it was returned.

Easy installation
The part was real easy to install, even though the water heat was in an attic and the water piping was restricting room. Also, there was no deck to sit on. It would have been frustrating if the part was difficult to install.

Perfect
This was a very easy repair and actually much easier to light than the original. Also, window for viewing the pilot is bigger. This makes it much easier to see the pilot and to know you have flame

Piece of junk!
This was a total frustration, and a complete waste of money! Install went fine, but the pilot light would not stay lit. Finally called a plumber who went over my install and said I did everything right, and he couldn't even get it to stay lit. He even called another plumber who was dumbfounded as well. No matter what they tried, the pilot would not stay lit. Ended up getting a whole new water heater. So, very unhappy with my purchase.

Easy To Install - But Minor Issue
Pretty easy to install. Just remove the old unit, remove the gas orifice and burner from the old unit and screw them into the new one, pop the unit into place and screw it in. The only issue I had is that the guard that covers the gas supply tubes and wires could not be used anymore because it shorted out the thermal switch contacts and prevented the thermocouple from keeping the pilot lit.

Did not fit
The Water heater pilot and igniter assembly did not fit even though it was the part number specified for the model of gas water heater. This "heater pilot and igniter did not even come with an igniter, I had to order that separately, which I didn't know until after the part arrived. For sure, will not buy a sears water heater again.
