Even I could do it!

I did have a problem with the wafer screws. One stripped and I’m waiting for a replacement. Otherwise this was a pretty easy fix.

Oven Internal Glass Replacement and/or cleaning

The are no known video or written text for changing "internal glass of oven door" on the sears WEB site and internet elsewhere.

  1. Remove Oven Door from stove - My model flip's the retainer locks bottom left and right
  2. Lay down oven door is facing upwards (dark side is facing down and remove (a) Handles and medal screws on the bottom of door (each). Normally these are black in color,
  3. Carefully lift off the Shine Frame from the door
  4. Remove outer Glass from door (Note one side with silver color tape, clean and store
  5. Internal Glass, my case was broken (clean area). Left and Right Brackets, mark screw position and remove four Aluminum Screws (store). Mark Screw position on Bracket (Pencil). Clean all Glass and medal surfaces
  6. Internal Glass remounting to Brackets (a) Insert Glass away from flat bracket surface (wear groves) so that it is centered top and bottom with the small clips and (b) Brackets marked with "L" and "R" being opposite each other with respect to glass.
  7. Installing Bracket with Internal Glass to oven door. Flat side of Bracket to face Oven door, while aligning screw holes marked in Paragraph five above or center internal glass to oven door. insert four shinny screws and tighten. Note there is small space between oven door and internal glass, if not something is wrong
  8. Glass with Black Coloring and silver tape. There are no guides. Bind up a little the two top and bottom brackets - used for later holding outer door glass in place. Mount outer glass (black) so that is is facing upwards, below the door handle screws and has Black all around if facing the over door.
  9. Remounts care lay down shinny frame (removed in step 3), reinstall four screws (black) at bottom of door. Reinstall door handle, remember the spacer. Tightly down all screws and the Black color glass will remain and not move
  10. Lift Oven Door and reinsert into hing and lock 11 Using the above, this is a 30 minute job. Figuring out all the required steps (above) took three hours, my first time.
