Part Information

Microwave high-voltage transformer 6170W1D052R is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part that fits some microwaves in these series: Kenmore 721; LG LMV; and Goldstar MV and MVH.

High-voltage transformer 6170W1D052R sends power to the magnetron and capacitor for heating the food.

Accessing internal microwave components is extremely dangerous. Either discharge the high-voltage capacitor in the microwave before replacing the high-voltage transformer to avoid electrocution or have a service technician replace the high-voltage transformer.

Replaces original microwave high-voltage transformer part 6170W1D052U.

Very Easy to Install

You sent me the wrong part gain & then told me that it was a replacement part for the one that I order. It does not want to heat. But the Transformer sure does get super hot.At parts are easy to install. You may want to rethink sending replace parts. The correct Transfer would be the right one to use.Not all of these replacement parts for the Transfomer.Still not happy with Sears

Transformer received damaged

Actually the install was easy once I straightened the 3 bent base plate corners and rethreaded the mounting screw holes in the straightened corners. Interestingly the cardboard shipping box was not damaged. So, the damaged had to be prior to packaging and visible to the packer. The transformer does work, but I am not sure if there is internal damage that may shorten its service life. Two photos provided: One showing the product label (note bent corners at base). The second is of the bottom, which more clearly shows 2 of the 3 bent corners. Any help or advice you can give would be most helpful.
