Front pinion gear replacements
The center hole on the plastic guard had to be shaved to allow the wheels to turn on my model. All other parts work great.

Plastic sheild problem
After an easy install I realized I forgot to install the large plastic shield. I took off the pinion, installed the shield, but then could not get the e-clip on the shaft. The new shield has a taller shoulder around the driven shaft as compared to the old shield. It prevents the pinion from going onto the shaft far enough to install the retaining clip. I ended up using the old shield and it works fine now. The part solved my drive problem but the new shield ended up in the recycling bin.
