Washer suspension rods.

Watch YouTube videos about replacing the four rods first to familiarize oneself about the disassembly of the washer. Also, replace two rods at a time diagonally to keep the tub balanced. Use one of the old rods to pull the new rod into position. Don’t use aftermarket rods to save money, I was ripped off by inferior parts that didn’t work properly. Use the Sears brand, they were superior in quality. Too much work involved to do the job twice.

Washer was spinning out of balance

Changed out these springs and washer spins balanced again!! Not too hard to install. Took about 20-25 minutes for all four.

Changing the buffer springs on my washer

A little tricky to get the top of the rods in, installed and working great.

Complete and great quality

Washer suspension kit. As a novice, I was able to perform the installation myself. I found a video created by the Sears "repair" team that was exactly what I needed to be successful.

Didn't fix the problem

The hardest part was getting into the washer and figuring out how to pop the top off. You need smaller arms to get down into each corner and remove/replace the springs. Unfortunately, this did not fix the walking-across-the-floor issue, so I don't know that to do next. I don't think there's a counterbalance spring -- I can't find that on any of the parts diagrams and I don't see one when looking under the washer.

I ordered the wrong part

It was not the problem with the washer so it was fine.
