Washer was dead and non-responsive on a stackable washer/dryer. Did all the regular checks. ie check for electricity, checked the lid switch by shorting the connector, and visual inspection. Pulled the control panel and could not find anything visibly wrong. So I got the model number and ordered a new Washer Timer. It mounts to the control panel with 2 10-32 screws next to the knob stem. Really easy to install except for the fact that the mounting screw holes were not tapped on the timer. I happened to have taps and tapped the holes. This would not be easy for the average person unless they know how to tap holes and have the proper tools. The good news is that it fixed the washer. Everything came back to life and the washer is working great again.
