Part Information

Ice maker WR30X30972 includes the ice mold and the control device. The ice maker receives water from the water inlet valve and then holds the water in the ice mold until the water freezes solid. It then automatically ejects the ice and refills to continue the process until the ice storage bin is full.

Safely store any food that could deteriorate while the power is off and unplug the refrigerator when installing this part. Wear work gloves to protect your hands.

Buy OEM. Great product

Easy to install and now I have ice again. I have to add that the OEM part was cheaper in price than the aftermarket units online.

Perfect Fit

I made the mistake a year ago of buying an aftermarket ice maker which failed 3 months ago. Very pleased with this GE Brand part from Sears PD. 2 screws, in and out no problem.

Ice maker replaced

We replaced the ice maker. The part was delivered in less than 1 week. The part fit in and the repair was complete in less than 20 minutes.

Ice maker install, second time.

Very easy to install. this is the second time, the first replacement unit electrical/electronic control module not sealed at manufacturing location causing a direct short from condensation. First replacement was only six months old and I was still charged again for a second replacement. The replacement product was inferior to the original and not constructed to acceptable standards.

Electrical different plug ends

Reroute elect. Cord, nothing in Instruction about electric hook up new ice maker has different cord end adapter with package fits but lots of cord hanging in freezer!
