Control Board worked for 20 minutes

The Dryer started immediately after the Control Board was installed but then stopped. Finally paid for a technician to diagnose and he determined the new Control Board was defective as jumping across the Motor relay showed the dryer was otherwise functioning. Returning the Control Board today. These are all remanufactured and no New production exists. i am ordering a board from another website now.

One of the pads on the starting relay had shorted to the frame -- unknown reasons -- insect perhaps? Sears Direct chat confirmed that the part as right for my Maytag. Simple plug-n-play replacement. Part? under $100. Dryer as good as new!

The install of the part was very quick. Fit exactly and got my dryer up and running. As long as you pay attention dieing disassemble the repair should take less than 30 minutes total.

First Replacement was Faulty, Second Worked

This appears to be the exact replacement for our Kenmore Elite HE3 board where the motor circuit burned out, even if that model is not listed. The first board we received did not repair the problem, and actually failed some of the additional electronic button tests. We decided to try once more; ordered an additional board and returned the faulty one. Whoo-hoo - the second board works great, and this time we received a label to recycle the original blown-out board, so a win all the way around. Very relieved to not replace the entire dryer.
