I t took me approximately 15 minutes to replace the part. The original part is held by 2 Phillip screws and the electrical connecter can off easy. When I put the new part in I used a right angle Phillips screw driver for the screws. There is a post on the back side of the replacement part that made using a straight screwdriver more difficult to use. I replaced the timer and bi-metal thermostat to correct a defrosting issues in my freezer; old freezer running like a champ. Yea, save cost of a new freezer.
