Reviews
Wrong part
After being backordered for 2 months, the part didn't fit as changes had been made to it. The seal was too big and the shaft too short.

Easy but be careful of the change in construction
This is easy to install compared to other Whirlpool/Kenmore because it has the retaining clip for the basket. This gearcase is apparently changed form the original and seems less durable and the shaft is different as well. I had to order a drive hub kit because the original does not fit the same. This should be noted when you order the part.

The repair was relatively easy. There are enough YouTube. Hardest part was figuring out how the starting capacitor was attached to the old unit. After that it went in without a problem.
