We carry replacement parts, repair parts and accessories for 408 Electrolux Range models
Keeping your range top working is a prerequisite to both a successful restaurant business and a smoothly operating home kitchen. When your range top doesn't start at all, you may need to install new Electrolux range parts to get cooking again.
Stoves connect to their electrical power through a large terminal block mounted to the back of the unit. The power cord feeds into this block, and a short can interrupt the flow of current into the stove, keeping it from starting. Unlike some stove repair parts, electrical terminal blocks are relatively easy to find and replace, as they are installed against the exterior surface of the unit.
None of the range parts in your stove can work without energy, and all of the stove's energy comes through the electrical cord. Remove the cord from the outlet and visually inspect its exterior insulation. Cracks or splits are suggestive of age and possible shorts that can cut power to the range top. Rather than trying to repair a damaged cord, it is usually preferable to replace it.
The relay control board, which is not to be confused with the electronic control board, regulates the flow of current to the stove's surface elements. If this board is damaged, burners will not engage, or they will unexpectedly disengage in the event of an intermittent short in the board's wiring.
