We carry replacement parts, repair parts and accessories for 87 Caloric Cooktop models
You can rely on your Caloric gas cooktop to simmer chili, stir-fry veggies and keep your teakettle whistling. On those rare occasions when the gas burners don't spark or light, you can get any repair parts you need from Sears PartsDirect to keep your cooktop working well. Check out these troubleshooting tips to get back to cooking with gas.
As the first part of your cooktop troubleshooting, take the simple step of checking the power cord. Over time, power cords can become cracked and their insulation can deteriorate. If you see any signs of damage to your cooktop's power cord, replace it.
Each burner on your Caloric cooktop has a spark igniter switch that controls that burner's sparking. If the switch fails in any way, the electrode doesn't send out a spark and the burner doesn't light. If the burners don't spark when you've turned the knob to the correct position, you probably need to replace the spark igniter switch. Check this part as well if your burners don't stop sparking after the burner is lit.
The gas must reach each burner at the right pressure or the burners don't ignite as they should. When the cooktop pressure regulator isn't working correctly, it can cause problems with the sparking and lighting of the burners. Choose the correct cooktop pressure regulator from the available cooktop parts to return the spark to your Caloric cooktop.
