Question and Answers

Q:

my GE washer is stuck on the pause botton under wash.

A:

This washer will normally signal an error code when the washer will not start. I provided information on retrieving the error codes and testing the washer in the images below. If you can use that information to determine the error code and/or test the washer, then you may be able to determine the cause of your problem. NOTE: Some of the tests involve the measuring of live voltage. I do not recommend that you check live voltage unless you are completely confident in your technical ability to safely measure it. Wear electrical safety gloves and safety goggles if you do test live voltage. Unplug the washer as soon as live testing is completed . If you determine the cause of your failure and you need parts, you can order them from this page: GE Washer WSSH300G1WW Parts . Be sure that you unplug the washer before accessing internal components.

If you need more help, reply with additional details based on the tests provided.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .

Q:

GE front load washer doesnt spin

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

If the washer will drain water and tumble in the wash cycle; I suspect a faulty door lock assembly. Your washer should also flash a failure code by flashing the five indicator lights of Door Lock, Wash, Rinse, Final Spin and Control for the first number or letter after the E and the Start indicator light for the second number or letter after the E. When a failure occurs, the washer stops or pauses and the control beeps and flashes the five indicator lights to tell the customer that a failure has occurred.

I added two images below that will help you diagnose the failure. If the fault code indicates E41; I added an image below with the instructions for replacing the door lock assembly. Disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
