Question and Answers

Q:

GE PROFILE MD -WPRE6150K2WT CLOTHES WASHER STATING BUTTON

A:

You could have a problem with the control board in the console. A number of other problems could also prevent the washer from starting. I recommend that you have a service technician diagnose and repair this washer problem. The technician will probably be able to use some diagnostic test functions in the washer controls to determine the cause of your failures. The intermittent problems that you are seeing may be difficult to diagnose. That is why I recommend that you have a service technician examine the washer. Here is a link for the Sears Service website: Sears Home Services .

Q:

washer repair

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The front panel on your GE washer model WPRE6150K2WT is designed to come off in order to access the components under the washer. I added an image below with the instructions for removing the front panel.

NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Scott; Does the drain pump operate/run? If it won't run, it could have a faulty drain pump or control. Is the washer draining and not spinning?

A:

Scott; The drain pump will need to pump all the water out before it begins spinning and the pump needs to continue to run and pump water out during spin. If it won't spin, it will leave the clothes soaking wet. Let me know what you find and if it will spin or not.
