Q:

Who makes appliances for the brand LG and why do many parts supply sources not even list their model?

A:

LG is an independent company that manufactures its own washers, dryers, refrigerators and other appliances in Korea. Here is a link for their corporate website that provides more information: LG Website

I cannot explain why some parts supply sources do not list their models. Most of the LG appliances are listed and have parts available on the Sears PartsDirect website. Your model of LG washer (WM2688HNM) is listed on this site. The parts listing has the repair manual that you are looking for. It is part number 3828ER3048Q. This manual is intended for technicians. Be sure to follow electrical safety guidelines when using the information in this manual. Unplug the washer before accessing internal components.

If you need more help, resubmit your question with additional details.

Q:

LG steam washer liquid bleach compartment leaking

A:

It sounds like you may have a cracked dispenser drawer. I recommend that you pull that drawer out and examine it carefully. Also, make sure that you do not overfill that bleach dispenser. If you fill it above the siphon hole that sticks up at the front of that beach dispenser compartment. The image below shows that siphon hole in the bottom of that bleach dispenser compartment (circled in red). If you fill that bleach compartment to a level above that siphon hole then the bleach will immediately siphon out through that bottom of that compartment. There is a possibility that this could contribute to the problem that you are describing.

If that dispenser is cracked or damaged, then it will need to be replaced. You can parts from the Sears PartsDirect website.

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will try to assist you further.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician examine the washer and repair this problem, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .
