Question and Answers

Q:

LG washer model WM2233HW door is leaking.

A:

You probably have damage to the front panel and/or the door hinges. If you want to fix this problem yourself, I recommend that you examine the door the hinges and the front panel. I provided procedures for removing the door and the front panel of the washer in the images below. Unplug the washer before accessing internal components.

NOTE: If you have to remove that front panel, you will need the spring pliers (part 383EER4001A). Here is a direct link for that part on the Sears PartsDirect.com website: Pliers .

You can view a parts list diagram for your washer and order parts from the Sears PartsDirect website.

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will try to assist you further.

Fixing this door problem may get complicated. If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Q:

Extra hole in new door gasket sent from Sears?

A:

Thank you for your question on the door boot gasket for your LG washer.

This is understandable since LG did a line change of the newer models right during the same production as yours.

I do show however that the old gasket is still available for purchase. If it was not then you would have to purchase some parts to update the washer to fit the new gasket.

The original gasket part number is 4986ER0001A.

Door boot gasket for model WM2233HW .

But if the gasket you ordered worked then that is great.

I hope this will help and if you need more help please let me know.
