Thank you for your question and I understand your concern. I must assume water is entering after the final spin cycle has finished and the washer has already turned off. If water is entering while the washer is sitting idle and not in use, replace the water inlet valve at the back of the washer. If you have to turn the water off in order to stop the water flow, replace the water inlet valve.

If the water can be shut off by turning the washer timer off or by disconnecting the power cord, the failure could be the water level pressure switch (key#10), a hole or blockage in the air pressure hose (key#811) or a stuck timer contact (key#100).
