Q:

worx cutting head assembly replacement

A:

Thank you for your question.

I will be happy to assist you with replacing the line in your trimmer. I posted an image below that contains the instructions for replacing the line. Just click on the image to enlarge it. Once you have the cap removed, take the spool out, and remove any remaining line. Then wind new line around the spool. Before installing the spool clean out any debris from the area where the spool goes. After you have it cleaned, reassemble the trimmer in the reverse order.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Terence ,

I am sorry I misunderstood your question. To remove the upper portion of the cutter head you need to remove the spool as if you were going to replace the line. Then hold the upper portion of the head with one hand. Next use a socket and ratchet to remove the nut inside of the head. I posted an image below to aid in the repair. If this does not match your model please reply below with an image of inside the head.

I am going to contact the manufacture to see if there is a trick to removing the head. The only way I see is to take the motor apart first. Then hold the armature by hand. I will post what I find out. Mark T.
