Q:

Why does my new Whirlpool Duet washer flash the F30 code and will not drain?

A:

The F30 indicates a dispenser system error. You may still have a failed component in the dispenser system. A motor and linkage are used on the dispenser to shift water to flow through the proper portion of the dispenser. You could have a failed motor, broken linkage or a wiring problem that is causing this fault code. Since it is that new, I recommend calling a service technician to correct this type of problem again. This type of failure should be covered by the warranty.

If the washer stopped and flashed the F30 fault code for the dispenser problem, this could have prevented your towels from draining and spinning. If you were able to set a drain and spin cycle, you may not have another problem with the washer other than the dispenser problem.

If the washer experiences a problem in draining or spinning, a separate fault code will be displayed. If you are seeing a different fault code than the F30, resubmit your question and we will help you further with this problem.

Seven towels should be an appropriate load size. Make sure that you are using HE (High Efficiency) detergent in this type of washer. I do not know of any wide spread issues or problems with this model. Once you get the dispenser repaired, I anticipate that you will not experience further problems.
