Question and Answers

Q:

ge washer water dont shut off

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The pressure switch is used to break the voltage supply to the water inlet valves and then it closes another contact to start the agitation cycle. If the water will stop flowing when you disconnect the power cord, the water level pressure switch is likely faulty. If the water continues to flow and you have to turn the hot or cold water off to stop the flow, the water inlet valve is stuck open and the water inlet valve will need to be replaced.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
