Q:

kenmore microwave stove hood # 363 627 02200 no heat

A:

Thank you for your question.

I see that you been given a few links to answered questions. I suspect there is an internal component failure. We do not give out much repair information on microwaves be cause of the dangers of repairing them. The microwave generates extremely high voltage. The capacitor can store this voltage even when the unit is unplugged. It is strongly recommended to have the microwave repaired by a service technician. You can have the microwave repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Depending on the age and the condition of the microwave, you may consider purchasing a new one. The price of microwaves has gone down a lot in the last few years. Please click on this link to view all of the microwaves we offer.

Q:

Dryer running without pressing start button. Set timer to how mant minutes and shut door and it runs.

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

It is possible for contacts inside the push to start switch to be stuck/fused causing the dryer to start without having to push the start button. The motor centrifugal start switch on the motor could also have contacts 2M and 1M stuck/fused causing the dryer to start when the timer is set and the door is closed.

I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your dryer. If you have an Ohm meter, the push to start switch operation can be tested. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing your dryer. Both wires (black and the white or white/red) should be disconnected from the start switch before placing the Ohm meter leads across the two male terminals. If the Ohm meter measures continuity without having to push the start switch, the start switch contacts are stuck and it should be replaced. If the Ohm meter does not measure any continuity, the start switch is Okay and problem is likely with the motor centrifugal switch. The motor would have to be replaced if the centrifugal switch is faulty. I strongly suggest calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your dryer.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
