Q:

My garage door opener model 139.53910D moves 6-12" when I push the control. Multiple pushes may move the door 3 feet. It happens when the door is going up and down. What could cause this?

A:

This symptom can be caused by several things. To be sure the problem is not from the door hardware dragging, close the door and pull the trolley release rope. Manually open and close the door several times and check for tension. If you open the door 1/2 way it should stay there. If it goes up or down the door spring or springs might need adjusting.

If the chain and cable is too tight this will cause this problem as well.

Your opener is designed to flash the led on the back of the motor unit to tell you what is wrong. The light flashes are explained in the owners manual. Adjusting the up and down force are also explained in the owners manual. Always do the safety reversing test after changing any setting.

I am sending you a link to take you to the page on Manage My Home where you can see the owners manual for your opener if you don't have one.

Q:

GE Profile Dishwasher parts

A:

Hi Brett,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

This kit (part number WD35X10054) appears to come complete, however to make sure you have the screw you need, I recommend ordering it (screw part number WD02X10067). Part keys 612 and 610 come with a spray arm.

Here is a link that you may use to view the parts list diagram and for parts purchases; Sears Parts Direct .

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Thanks again for using Manage My Life.
