Q:

Frigidaire FAC066L7A2 A/C

A:

Without being there to personally hear the noise I will not be able to say with any certainty of what's making the noise. The noise could be emitting from a bad fan motor (key#8), unbalance or bent condenser fan (key#1) or evaporator fan blade (key#11) or you could be hearing the condenser fan blade slinging water through the condenser coil. The noise could also be the compressor (key#1) and not the fan. If it does not make the noise when fan only is pressed then the noise is likely coming from the compressor or a vibration noise. See image below for "Normal" sounds.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Q:

New Kenmore a/c not working correctly

A:

If the display will not display after unplugging and reconnecting power then there is likely a PC control board failure or possibly just a loose connection. The remote may need a new battery installed or the battery is not making a good connection.

Call 1-800-4MY-HOME or 1-800-469-4663 to set up service to have your air conditioner repaired.
