Question and Answers

Q:

Can the turntable shaft be replaced that melted inside my microwave?

A:

If you are speaking of the turntable shaft (key#3012); it can removed and replaced. The shaft generally should be removable from inside the oven cavity by lifting or gently prying it up. If it will not lift up and off; then the turntable motor with shaft will need to removed from under the microwave. This type of repair should be performed by a technician unless you feel confident in making and completing the repair yourself. The turntable shaft connects the turntable motor shaft to the glass tray in order to make it rotate. The turntable motor (key#3009) may have been damaged if it will not rotate. The turntable motor is part #2B72754E and the turntable shaft is part #4370W1A009A.

The glass tray rotates in order for the food to heat up evenly. It can be used with out the tray turning but it will likely not heat the food evenly.

I recommend calling a service technician to repair your microwave turntable motor.

Q:

Is this a needed part?

A:

Thank you for your question on the heat guard on the inside of the dryer door.

The material on the inside of the door is just there to reduce surface temperature of the outer door panel.

It does not effect the operation of the dyer at all.

If you feel that you would want to replace it the part number is: 134535300 for about $20.00.

If you are afraid that someone may get burned from touching the outer door panel you may consider replacing it.

Insulator shield .

Thank you for using Manage My Life.
