Q:

Kenmore wall over

A:

That F7 code normally indicates that you have a stuck key on the key panel or a problem with that ribbon cable between the key panel and the electronic oven control board in the console. I provided technical information for this oven in the image below. You can shut off the house circuit breaker for the oven to completely disconnect electrical power and check that ribbon wire connection between the control panel and that electronic control board. You should be able to access the control board by opening the oven door and removing the screws at the bottom of the control panel. With those screws removed, you should be able to carefully fold that control panel forward to check the ribbon wire connection. Check the ribbon wire connection for corrosion and make sure that it is properly plugged into the electronic control board. If you find corrosion, you can clean the contacts with electronics contact cleaner. If you find no corrosion, make sure that the ribbon wire is plugged in properly and reassemble the oven. If the F7 continues to occur, then you probably have a bad control panel. This type of intermittent failure can be difficult to diagnose. You can use the information shown in the image below if you get that F7 code and it will not clear by shutting off the breaker and then restoring power. You can shut the breaker back off and then unplug that ribbon wire connector. Leave that ribbon wire unplugged and reassemble the console. Power the oven back up and see if the F7 is displayed. If the F7 is displayed with the ribbon cable unplugged, then the electronic control board will need to be removed from the oven and sent to Core Centric Solutions for repair. That repair would cost about $150. Here is a link for the website for that control board repair company: CoreCentriSolutions.com . If the F7 does not return when the oven is powered up with the ribbon cable unplugged then you will need to replace that control panel. You can order the control panel from the Sears PartsDirect website. The part number for the control panel will depend on the color of your oven. You can use your model number to access the parts and order the color of control panel that you need. The cost of the control panel will be between $220 and $260 depending on the color. These tips may help you fix this problem if you are able to repair the failure yourself. If you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair the range, you can schedule one through this link: Sears Home Services . The cost for labor of a technician is normally around $140 (not including the parts described above).

If you need more assistance, reply with additional details and we will try to help you further.
