Q:

Craftsman Vertical Ban Saw #112.235851 runs for 10 minutes and cuts off, I wait about 1 to 11/2 minutes and it can turn back on.

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the saw. I recommend removing the blade first. Then start the saw and see how long the motor runs. If it still quits I recommend removing the drive belt and test it again. If the motor does not stop, I recommend looking for something binding in the pulleys and drive wheel. If the motor still quits I suspect the problem is a defective motor. If you have a volt ohmmeter, you can verify the motor is getting 120 volts before you condemn it.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Q:

what does f 11 mean on your washer mean

A:

Thank you for your question.

The FdL and F11 fault code indicates that you have a problem with the door lock assembly or motor control communication to the main control. A failed door lock often causes this but it can also be caused by a failed wiring harness connection or in some instances by a failed control board.

Check for damage to the door hook on the washer door and look for anything that could be clogging the catch on the door lock assembly on the front panel of the washer.

You may need to check the wire harness connections on the door lock assembly, main control, and the motor control. The images below show the procedure for accessing the door lock assembly, main control, and motor control on this type of washer. Be sure that you unplug the washer before accessing internal components.

I have seen the failure be caused by a door lock and a faulty machine control board. A little trick I have found is to remove the top of the washer and push down lightly on the connector that is labeled dls5 this connector should have four black wires. This connector is located on the machine control board under the top. Use an insulated screwdriver to push on the connector and start a cycle. If the door locks, I recommend replacing the machine control. It has a bad solder joint on the board. We often see error code F11 also with bad solder joints on the control board. If pushing on the connector did not make a difference, I would suspect a faulty door lock first.
