Question and Answers

Q:

ac

A:

Thank you for your question.

I will assist you with your question. Air conditioners today are not made to drain all of the water out of the base. The condenser fan will sling water from the base onto the condenser to aid in cooling. If the water seems to be at a higher level than it did before I recommend checking the drain at the back of the unit. It might be plugged with debris. If the water is leaking into the house, I recommend checking the level of the unit. It should be at least a 1/4 inch lower in the back than the front.

I hope this is helpful.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

John Collins,

I am sorry you are having a problem with the room ac unit. I looked up the manual for this unit. According to the manual, this unit has a drain tank. The image below shows how to empty it. If you still have a leak, I recommend checking the installation of the ac. The link below will take you to the manual that has the instructions. If it is installed correctly, I suspect the drain is plugged or the catch pan is broken. You will need to take the unit apart to check these.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Q:

What causes an 8x blinking led error on a Sony Bravia?

A:

The error suggests that the audio circuit might be damaged. Technology has made the size of these components so compact that traditional component level repair is usually not an option. The circuit board most likely to be required is the AU board. I recommend you visit Sears repair site here to get an estimate for a home diagnostic to confirm this. There the tech will confirm the need of the part and give you a cost of the part to your area. I tried to link it from our parts site Sears Parts Direct but was unable to find it listed.

Q:

heat and ac

A:

Based on the improvements that you intend to make, I recommend that you contact a LEED certified builder and examine the options for heating and cooling your home. Many factors will need to be considered in determining the best solution. A building contractor will be able to provide specific advice.

The ServiceLive.com website has contractors in many areas of Florida that can complete some (or all) of the work that you are describing. You may also want to get some estimates from Sears Home Improvement for the work that you intend to complete. Here is a link for the Sears Home Improvement website: Sears Home Improvement .
