Question and Answers

Q:

Karcher 2400 power washer

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the pressure washer. If the high-pressure nozzle is partly plugged it could cause the unloader to stick. I recommend cleaning the nozzle first. If you still have the same problem, I suspect the unloader valve in the pump is stuck. The unloader opens once the pump builds pressure. Once open the water circulates in the pump until the handle is pulled. Then it closes and allows the pump to build pressure. If it is corroded, the unloader will stick. I recommend removing the unloader valve and cleaning it with WD-40. Then test the operation. If this does not cure the problem, I recommend replacing the unloader.

I hope this is helpful. If you need further assistance, please let me know.

Repairing a pump on a 2400 Psi gas power washer

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with pressure washer. I have checked and we do not have a pump diagram for the pressure washer. I have called the manufacture to see if they have a diagram but had to leave a message. When they call me back, I will post what I have found out below. I hope to hear something today.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

I have heard back from the manufacture. He seems to think you might have not seen the oil seal in the piston housing. He said the seal is recessed and is hard to miss and it is best if you remove the pistons to remove the seal. The seal is part number 6 in the image below. Please double check the piston housing for the seal. If you have any other questions, please reply below.
