Question and Answers

Q:

Recetnly installed the Kemore 370 water softner and am not showing that any gallons have been used per the electronic display. Not sure what to do?

A:

Check the bypass valve behind the control and make sure that your water softener is not bypassed. If the unit is not bypassed, check the softness of the water in your house with a water testing kit. If you have soft water but the water flow meter is not working, the water softener will likely need service by a technician. If it is recently installed, it should still be under warranty. Here is a link for the owner's manual for your water softener in case you need it: Owner's Manual . Call 1-800-469-4663 (1-800-4MY-HOME) for warranty service if needed.

Q:

Soft Water Systems, U.V. Disinfection - Salt Level Issues

A:

The technician may have tested the water with the system bypassed to get accurate measurements of the original hardness and other water conditions. A hardness test can normally be performed by the technician at the home. The technician probably checked that. I recommend that you call the technician to see if he tested the house water without bypassing the system. He may be able to give you the results of that test.

If you need more help, reply with additional details.
