Question and Answers

Q:

What does error 13 mean?

A:

The E: 13 is a drain pump issue (drain pump time exceeded). It may be a faulty drain pump, bad wiring, or a clogged drain hose.

I have included a set of illustrated instructions (See below). These should step you through the process of examining the drain pump and its components.

This is a very labor intensive do it yourself project, if you are not completely confident in your repair skills, I recommend calling a service company to diagnose and repair your appliance.

If you need more assistance please resubmit question with more details. I will be looking forward to helping you again in the near future.

Note: Our imaging system is malfunctioning. I would like to apologize in advance if the attachments do not appear online.

Q:

Where can I get help with my GPX 13 inch TV/DVD combo?

A:

I was able to find a little more information under the model TVD-1324 but only pictures of what I presume to be your TV. I could not get a manual, only a contact page on the GPX site here . They have changed their corporate name to DPI. I do not think they'll be able to assist very much with your situation.

There are some basic things you could do if you feel that the problem might be something being done wrong. If the tray opens and accepts the disc but you do not see anything playing, try looking for a button labeled DVD or AUX on your remote. Most combos go to the DVD when its inserted but yours could be different. If you don't see a button, channel down to the lowest channel, then channel down again. Sometimes that’s another way of getting to a different input. If it accepts the disk but you get a disc error, try another CD/DVD.
