Question and Answers

Q:

How can I get sand out of my washer?

A:

Open the lid and locate the little opening that the lid strike passes through in order to close the lid switch. Use a non-metallic object to insert and energize the lid switch so it will spin with the lid open. Start the washer in the spin cycle. While the washer is spinning, use a water hose and spray the water all inside the basket and will flush the water and sand out the drain pipe. NOTE: Do not to put you hands or arms inside the washer while it is spinning.

Q:

How do I convert it to sand?

A:

In order to use the band saw as a sander will require removing the band saw blade and replacing it with a sanding belt. I added a link to Manage My Home with the user's manual looked up for you. Click on "Craftsman Saw Band" below to open link.

Q:

What kind of sand should be used with this sand blaster? Can I use a product like "Black Beauty" or does it have to be fine sand like "play sand".

A:

Thank you for your question.

* You can use the "Black Beauty" product in your sand blaster. It is a little more aggressive than the round plastic or sand media and it will wear the ceramic cones in the tip out a little faster.
